“I asked a scientist at NASA, ‘Why did you become a cosmologist?’
“’I wanted to know what happened at the beginning, at the Origin,’ he responded. ‘If I could know
what happened at the beginning, then maybe I could know what all of this means.’ NASA has a Deep Space Observatory in the Mojave Desert.
“The Origin. There is a Native American claim that the Origin of the Universe happened in the same Mojave Desert. I went there. I worked there, I wandered there, and I waited to hear. This special, sacred desert place holds the story of Dancing On a Dry Salt Lake. It is a serious comedy ... about one person’s journey to enlightenment.”
